Baumax opens 15th store in Romania

Building and DIY chain bauMax have opened a new superstore in Cluj (Klausenburg) in Rumania.

Working together with Raiffeisen-Leasing the new location was built and opened the business after just a year of building time.

The new store offers 15,000 m² and is the 15th store that the company has in Rumania including one that it has already opened in the eastern part of the same city.

Cluj is from an economic point of view the second largest city in Rumania and therefore regarded as a good base for further expansion of the company.

bauMax and Raiffeisen-Leasing have been working together for several years now on similar projects not just in Rumania but also in Croatia, Chechian and Slovakia.

The business model involves bauMax agreeing to become a long-term lease and Raiffeisen becoming the investor.
