Cheapskate Lauda back in action

Niki Lauda is starring in another episode of an acclaimed advertisement series.The new advertising spot – set to be screened on Austrian television – shows the Formula One (F1) legend dragging a suitcase packed with shoes into the lobby of a hotel to clean and cream them on a shoe-polishing machine set up there for guests.The clip is part of a series of spots by online bank ING-DiBa Austria portraying Lauda – one of the best known Austrian personalities in the world – as someone who has nothing to give away. The FlyNiki CEO was signed by the financial institute in 2009. ING-DiBa Austria announced earlier this year it currently managed 6.3 billion Euros of customers’ assets.A previously presented ING-DiBa Austria commercial shows Lauda rushing out of the house to clean his car during a downpour. In another clip, the three-time F1 champ asks the waiter for some kitchen foil to have half of his schnitzel wrapped up so he can take it home, leaving other guests of a posh eatery flabbergasted.
