Cheapskate Lauda back in action
Niki Lauda is starring in another episode of an acclaimed advertisement series.The new advertising spot set to be screened on Austrian television shows the Formula One (F1) legend dragging a suitcase packed with shoes into the lobby of a hotel to clean and cream them on a shoe-polishing machine set up there for guests.The clip is part of a series of spots by online bank ING-DiBa Austria portraying Lauda one of the best known Austrian personalities in the world as someone who has nothing to give away. The FlyNiki CEO was signed by the financial institute in 2009. ING-DiBa Austria announced earlier this year it currently managed 6.3 billion Euros of customers assets.A previously presented ING-DiBa Austria commercial shows Lauda rushing out of the house to clean his car during a downpour. In another clip, the three-time F1 champ asks the waiter for some kitchen foil to have half of his schnitzel wrapped up so he can take it home, leaving other guests of a posh eatery flabbergasted.
