Baumax upholds EE focus

Tools and DIY equipment chain Baumax continues its expansion in Eastern Europe (EE).The Klosterneuburg-based firm opened a store in Pleven, northern Bulgaria, yesterday (Weds). The 12,000-square-metre shop is the firm’s fifth representation in the country.Baumax is active in nine European countries. Around 10,700 people are employed in its 152 shops of which 67 are located in Austria. It achieved a turnover of 1.5 billion Euros in 2010, up by seven per cent compared to the year before.
