Miele Austria sets another turnover record

Household appliance manufacturer Miele Austria has managed to improve its turnover for the third year in a row.Company boss Josef Vanicek said today (Thurs) that the firm – which is based in Wals near Salzburg – achieved a turnover of 190 million Euros in 2010. Vanicek said this was a seven per cent increase compared to 2009. He added that the 2010 performance means Miele Austria’s annual turnover had risen for the third consecutive year. Vanicek did not give any information on earnings and profits.”We managed to confirm our position as market leader last year. This is something not to be taken for granted considering that Miele Austria is a premium (high-end) brand,” he said, adding that the firm currently had around 620 employees.
