Suzuki and Subaru announce massive recall
Two leading automotive companies are recalling thousands of cars in Austria.Suzuki said today (Thurs) that it has asked thousands of owners of its Swift compact car to get their cars to a garage for repairs of the suspension struts. The firm explained the devices could corrode due to inefficient protective cladding.Subaru announced similar problems may affect the driving comfort of its Justy model.An overall 8,600 cars produced by the Japanese firms between 1997 and 2002 are affected by the callback, according to motorist association ÖAMTC. The organisation explained repair works would take two to three hours.Only last week, Toyota said it started recalling 353 Avensis and 82 Lexus IS250 models in Austria over a possible petrol lines dysfunction.
