Rosenbauer bags Asian order

Fire-fighting equipment producer Rosenbauer International AG has been contracted by an Asian company to deliver 21 fire trucks.The Upper Austrian firm, which is based in Leonding, said today (Thurs) it was assigned by the internationally-operating UMW Group to produce 21 fire engines worth an overall 17.4 million Euros for Malaysia Airport Holding Berhad (MAHB).Rosenbauer’s turnover rose by 14 per cent year on year to 274.5 million Euros in the first six months of 2010. Its earnings before interest and taxes (Ebit) improved by 33 per cent to 20.6 million Euros.Company officials said recently they expected annual turnover to reach 600 million Euros as the economy recovers.
