Bayern fans angered by Knasmüllner’s Schalke dreams

Up-and-coming footballer Christoph Knasmüllner has angered supporters of his club Bayern Munich by revealing he was dreaming of playing for a rival club.Asked which other club would be an option for him, the talented 18-year-old midfielder – who is regarded as one of the biggest promises of Austrian football – said in a newspaper interview today (Thurs): “Schalke 04! It would be cool to play alongside Raul.”Schalke 04 are having a terrible start tothe season. The Gelsenkirchen-based team, who snatched Raul from Real Madrid and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from AC Milan, lost five of their first eight matches. The side coached by Felix Magath are, however, doing better in the current UEFA Champions League group stage. Schalke garnered six points in the first three rounds.Defending German Bundesliga champions Bayern are currently 10th in the 18-team league. The star-studded squad face fifth-ranking Hamburger SV tomorrow.Knasmüllner joined Bayern from the youth department of Austrian Bundesliga runner up Austria Vienna two years ago.The outspoken Austrian Under-19s national team player may have also caused a stir by criticising his club’s payment policy.”I read (Bayern Munich midfielder Franck) Ribery cashes 830,000 Euros before tax a month.
