Bundesliga clubs engage in fight for Elsneg

Five Austrian Bundesliga clubs have targetted Dieter Elsneg, according to the striker’s agent.Max Hagmayr revealed today (Weds) that the 20-year-old – who is currently playing for Italian Serie B team Frosinone Calcio – was targeted by champions Red Bull Salzburg, vice champions Austria Vienna, ÖFB Cup winners Sturm Graz, Kapfenberg and SV Ried. The former GAK ace said earlier this week he could imagine returning to Austria.Hagmayr also confirmed reports that he accompanied Sturm Graz star Daniel Beichler – another client of his – to Berlin on Monday to get to know the city. The 21-year-old striker met Hertha BSC Berlin bosses for talks, according to sports dailies.Former Bayern Munich ace Markus Babbel took over as coach at the relegated side recently to form a new team in a bid to manage immediate promotion after being relegated to the second league last season.Red Bull transferred around 1.3 million Euros to Sturm earlier this week for up-and-coming midfielder Jakob Jantscher. Slovakian Peter Hlinka left Sturm – who finished the season in third – for league rivals Austria Vienna, while former Austrian national team defender Joachim Standfest swapped clubs the other way round.Rapid Vienna executive director Alfred Hörtnagl meanwhile confirmed Hungarian club Ferencvárosi Torna Club was interested in 27-year-old striker Mario Konrad. Rapid signed SV Ried ace Atdhe Nuhiu earlier this week.
