Paraglider falls off tree
A paraglider sustained fractures and internal injuries when he fell out of a tree.
The Czech tourist pulled the emergency chute after experiencing difficulties with the regular glide shortly after taking off at an altitude of 2,100 metres on the Krippenstein Mountain in Upper Austria’s Gmunden district yesterday (Weds).
He landed safely in the treetops but plunged to the ground trying to climb down. The 49-year-old is recovering in a local hospital.
