Vienna girl dies after slipping in shower

A young resident of Vienna-Wieden has died after slipping while having a shower.The nine-year-old’s motionless body was found by her mum yesterday evening (Tues). The woman called an ambulance. Doctors managed to revive her before the child died due to severe head injuries at the city’s SMZ Ost Clinic a few hours later.Meanwhile, a woman may have saved her cousin’s life by resuscitating her after a bathing accident in Lavamünd in Carinthia. Medics praised her for not hesitating to carry out first aid measures until an ambulance arrived. Paramedics managed to stabilise the four-year-old girl’s condition. She is recovering in a clinic.
