Ski lift user collides with car

A 57-year-old woman from Germany has sustained a knee injury in an unusual skiing accident.Authorities in Raggal, Vorarlberg, said today (Fri) the holidaymaker collided with a car as she was dragged up the hill by a tow lift in the winter sport resort of Pfifareute on Tuesday.Police explained the driver, 60, was careless when checking for oncoming skiers as he drove along the rural road that crossed the lift track. They pointed out that no similar accident has ever happened so far in the area, adding that the motorist – who lives locally – was reprimanded.The Hamburg-based woman suffered a slight knee injury in the incident.
