Viennas Baby Elephant Turns Three
One of Schönbrunn Zoo’s biggest visitor attractions Tuluba the elephant turns three on August 6th.
To celebrate, Tuluba will be given a birthday party.
From 15.00 hours Tuluba will be given a birthday cake and there will be attractions for children.
Zoo director Dagmar Schratter said: “Tuluba will be given a surprise hay cake which will be filled with his favourite fruits.
There will be a craft area for children at the elephant house where they can make elephant themed drinking straws as a souvenir of the occasion.
Tuluba loves playing in water, enjoys his daily training and playing with his trainer.
He was born weighing 112 kilos and now weighs in at 700 kilos.
Tuluba will not be the youngest elephant at he zoo for much longer.
Elephant Tonga is due to give birth in Autumn. This will be the fourth African elephant to be born at Schönbrunn Zoo.
