Imperial splendour for families for 15
Austrian Minister for Families Reinhold Mitterlehner has organised a special family ticket for the “Long Night of the Family” on 6 May that allows entry to things connected to the Habsburgs.
From Schloss Schönbrunn or the world’s oldest zoo, through to Schloss Hof – the ticket allows all the attractions to be visited with a single 15 euro ticket.
Unveiling the idea he said: “We want the offer to signal that we are a family orientated society. And we also want to show a part of our cultural heritage.”
Sponsored by UNIQA Insurance the offer includes Schloss Schönbrunn, the Gloriette, the Kindermuseum, Irrgarten, Tiergarten Schönbrunn, Wiener Hofburg with the Kaiserappartements, the Sisi Museum and the legendary Silberkammer, Hofmobiliendepot with the Möbelmuseum furniture museum as well as Schloss Hof in Marchfeld.
Two adults and up to five children can travel with the ticket. Children under 6 are free anyway.
