Volcic heart problems shock Gunners

Bernd Volcic, one of the best players of the Austrian Basketball Bundesliga (ÖBL), will be sidelined for an indefinite period of time due to cardiac problems.Oberwart Gunners executive director Andreas Leitner announced today (Weds) doctors discovered cardiac arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation when the 34-year-old was hospitalised after the match against Traiskirchen (68-84) on Sunday.”He didn’t feel too well during the match, so we decided to get him into hospital right after the game,” Leitner explained. The Gunners official remained tight-lipped over whether the team will make any signings to compensate the loss of their key player.Volcic rejoined Oberwart ahead of the current season after having played for some of the best clubs across Europe for 11 years.
