A jury led by the British ambassador hands out wedding-fashion award

A wedding dress fashion contest was staged this week in which four winners were selected amongst a pool of talented young Austrian designers.

The British ambassador Susan le Jeune d’Allegeershecque, who has a passion for fashion, is said to have been charmed by the commitment of the designers as well as their creations.

The jury of artists, experts, and fashion-specialists chaired by the ambassador were on hand to select winners of the winners of the first Austrian Wedding Award.

In the Wedding Fashion category, the winner of a six-month internship with Gino Cerruti in London is Odette Kronberger. The second place – and winner of a one-month internship at KISUI in Berlin – went to Valentina Rohringer.

Katharina Zopf was awarded the first place in the Future Wedding Fashion category. She will also travel to London for a six-month Gino Cerruti internship. The prize for the runner-up, Theresa Prammer, was also a month internship in Berlin.

The prize-giving ceremony will take place at the Trau Dich Wedding Fair in Vienna on Friday.
