Baby panda more and more adventurous

A panda born at a zoo in Vienna in August has started to explore his surroundings.Schönbrunn Zoo carers said today (Tues) that Fu Hu started crawling around in his roofed enclosure some days ago. They said fans of the panda would need patience and a bit of luck to catch a glimpse of him as only a small part of the enclosure can be seen from the visitors’ area. The young animal is not expected to leave the roofed area considering the sub-zero temperatures in snow-covered Vienna.Fu Hu is 71 centimetres tall and tips the scales at 7.5 kilograms. Thousands of people participated in an online voting to pick his name. Fu Hu is Chinese for “happy tiger”.Schönbrunn Zoo is one of the Austrian capital’s main tourist attractions. It registered 2.183 million visitors last year, down from 2.579 in the previous year.
