Pepper spray ends Turkish airline protest

Police were called after Kurdish demonstrators burst into the Turkish airlines office in the first district of Vienna.

In total ten activists stormed the office the Operngasse 3 in the late afternoon and the protest ended when one of the staff at the airline used a pepper spray that left several people hospitalised.

The activists placed a banner in the show window during the action.

The policemen were securing the building when the employee of the airline grabbed his pepper spray. The Kurdish demonstrators as well as the 15 policemen had to get medical attention.

The employee of the Turkish airline was also arrested as well as the protesters who all face charges.
