Bodies bricked up in wall in Vienna
Builders working on an attic conversion in Vienna have found the remains of three bodies bricked up in a wall.
Police refused to discuss the case in detail but confirmed that only the bones remained – indicating the bodies had been there for some time – and that these had been handed over for forensic analysis.
The property where the grisly discovery was made was reportedly in Meidling, in the cities 12 district.
Police spokesperson Roman Hahslinger said: “There are at least three skulls but that doesn’t mean it’s just three bodies – there could be other body parts there for which we have no skull. At the moment we are completely in the dark and are waiting for the forensic report.”
Now police are investigating who has lived at the property going back well over a century.
