Viennese woman killed in mountain pass car plunge

A 45-year-old woman from Vienna died when a car plummeted over a 300-metre embankment in the Salzburg Alps yesterday (Sun).

Two other passengers of the vehicle were injured in the accident. Local newspapers write today that a woman suffered serious injuries while a man got away with nothing but cuts and bruises.

The incident reportedly occurred after the vehicle attempted to avoid an oncoming car on a mountain pass road near Großarl in Salzburg’s Pongau region.
