German killed at Donauinsel

A man found dead in a large recreation area in Vienna has been identified as a German.

The 29-year-old’s body was discovered by hikers at the Donauinsel (Danube Island) yesterday morning (Sun). He was stabbed to death after a group of six men’s argument got out of hand, police said today.

Officials said the offender was on the run and investigations were continuing.
