Slovenian rock music fan killed in car crash
A young woman from Slovenia has died after an accident on Austrias A2 southern motorway.The 19-year-old was sitting in a car steered by a 21-year-old pal yesterday morning (Tues). The driver and another passenger a 16-year-old boy sustained severe injuries when the vehicle came off the road and overturned before landing in a field on the other side of the crash barrier near Wöllersdorf, Lower Austria.Local traffic police said the driver may have fallen asleep moments before the accident happened. They added the group of friends were travelling home from the Nova Rock music festival which took place in Nickelsdorf, Burgenland, at the weekend.The A2 had to be closed in both directions as medic choppers had to land on the lanes. Long traffic jams were a consequence.
