Red light crash kills driver

A Lower Austrian man died in a car crash yesterday evening (Sun), police said today.The man, 45, was hit by the car of a Spaniard. The 27-year-old apparently ignored or failed to notice the red light at the crossroad on the B7 main road outside Mistelbach. The tourist and his 25-year-old girlfriend suffered undisclosed injuries in the collision. They were hospitalised. The Austrian, who lived locally, succumbed to his injuries shortly after the crash.Meanwhile, a 29-year-old motorcyclist from Eisenstadt, Burgenland, died after he came off a slip road leading to the A3 southeast highway near Guntramsdorf, Lower Austria.
