Power cut at biomass plant

Around 300 households were without heating for several hours Wednesday night after a short circuit at a biomass heating plant in Vorarlberg.Firemen in the town of Lech said today (Fri) that an electrical short occurred at the facility after a device overheated. Thirty fire-fighters and 10 engineers managed to get the situation under control.The plant – the biggest biomass energy plant of the province – is currently run with an emergency power supply as repair work continues.
