Lithuanian hit and run driver nabbed

A Lithuanian driver has been arrested after crashing through a road barrier.The 41-year-old man got behind the wheel after causing an accident near Laa an der Thaya in Lower Austria yesterday (Tues). He crashed through a road block police had built up a few kilometres down the road close to the Czech border.The hit and run driver was eventually stopped by warning shots at another road barrier. He is in custody awaiting traffic charges. One police officer had to be hospitalised.
