Snow groomer driver runs down colleague

A 27-year-old worker was injured in a freak accident on a skiing slope in Vorarlberg yesterday (Weds).The man was replacing direction and warning signs with new models on the piste in Laterns. His colleague, 69, was behind the wheel of a snow groomer. The elderly man started the vehicle and ran down his co-worker in a careless act, assuming he was standing behind and not in front of the vehicle.The younger winter sport resort employee was transferred to a clinic in Feldkirch via helicopter. He suffered undisclosed injuries to his right leg in the incident.Earlier this winter, an eight-year-old boy died instantly after being hit by a snow groomer in the ski resort of Rußbach in Salzburg’s Tennengau region.
