Over 100 TVs nicked from truck overnight

More than 100 flat screen TVs were stolen from a parked lorry while the driver slept in its cabin.The 45-year-old driver stopped in a parking bay at a rest stop on the A1 western motorway near Roggendorf, for the night on Wednesday, police said today (Fri).Investigations were started yesterday after the man realised that all of the 113 LCD TV sets he was ordered to deliver to a store in Graz were gone. Overall damage ranges around 100,000 Euros, according to a spokesman for police in Lower Austria.Only last week, thieves made off from a storage site in Fürnitz, Carinthia, with clothes worth more than one million Euros. Investigations into the theft are still ongoing, local officials said today.
