Two kids die in flat fire started by mum

A blaze which killed two young children was started by their mother, it has emerged.Enrico, 8, and his six-year-old sister Esther were killed by the fire in the family home in the Styrian town of Judenburg yesterday (Tues).Now local police have announced that their mother Esther F. admitted having caused the fire which caused substantial damage to the building.One officer said today: “She claimed it was a knee-jerk reaction after her husband rejected a hug. He went out to buy cigarettes instead, while she sat down on the sofa, set a towel on fire and watched the flames spread.”The 41-year-old old woman, who suffered smoke poisoning and serious burns, was put in custody after being discharged from hospital.
