One Republic to rock Hohenems

US pop stars One Republic will perform in Vorarlberg in December, it was confirmed today (Tues).The five-member band from Colorado will rock the Event.Center Hohenems on 2 December, according to a report by Britishrock.cc.The group fronted by Ryan Tedder had a global hit with “Apologize” in 2007. The song peaked the charts in more than a dozen countries all over the world including Austria.Follow-up single “Stop and Stare” also did well in the charts. Both songs have been given a lot of radio airplay ever since their release.One Republic – who have released two studio albums to date – will also perform in Styrian ski resort Schladming this winter. The band and pop siren Kesha will rock on an open air stage on 4 December to officially kick off its winter sport season.The ski resort of Ischgl, meanwhile, signed indie rock trio Gossip for its season opening bash (27 November). Tina Turner, Lionel Richie and many other international stars have previously performed in the Tyrolean town.Britishrock.cc also reports that English alternative rock outfit The Futureheads will give a concert at Vienna’s Szene club on 19 November.Other recently announced gigs set to take place in Vienna are shows by Adam Lambert (22 November) and The Wombats (16 February 2011).
