David Garrett to perform in Austria
David Garrett will give a concert in Vienna this November.Britishrock.cc reports today (Tues) that the German-American violinist is set to perform in the Stadthalle on 22 November.Garrett, 28, has been praised for introducing many young people to classical music with his fresh approach to traditional works.It emerged yesterday that pop star Sting will also come to Vienna in November. The former Police front man will team up with Londons Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for a performance at the Stadthalle on 5 November.Other upcoming live music highlights are the concerts by German rock band Selig in Graz (18 November) and Vienna (25 November) and Georgian singer Katie Melua in Vienna on 16 November.A concert by BBC presenter and pianist Jools Holland in Graz on 7 June has been cancelled.
