Interpol return to Vienna with new album

American alternative rock band Interpol will come to Vienna in November, it has been announced.Britishrock.cc reports that the three-member group, who recently finished recording their upcoming fourth studio album, are set to perform at the city’s Gasometer concert hall on 18 November.Interpol, who rose to fame in 2002 when they debut album “Turn On the Bright Lights” won critical acclaim, have performed in Austria several times over the past few years. Interpol are not featured in the line-ups of Europe’s music festivals taking place this year.News that Interpol are lined up to rock Vienna comes after it was announced that pop legend Prince will give one of his rare concerts in Linz on 13 July.Somali-Canadian rapper K’Naan – whose song “Wavin’ Flag” is tipped to be this year’s summer hit – will perform at the Szene in Vienna on 31 August.American singer Suzanne Vega will give a concert in Graz on 30 June, and former Dire Straits mastermind Mark Knopfler is to hit the stage in Vienna on 3 July.
