Hitzinger gets €8mn orders

Individual power supply solutions specialist Dipl.Ing. Hitzinger GmbH (Hitzinger) has received assignments worth eight million Euros.The Linz-based firm said today (Mon) it was contracted to produce and deliver interruption-proof energy systems worth six million Euros to various business clients across Europe. Hitzinger added it also received orders for emergency power supply devices worth around two million Euros.The company argued electricity providers in Europe were becoming more concerned about safety aspects due to the occurrences in Japan. Dozens of volunteers and firemen are currently trying to avoid a meltdown at a nuclear power plant in the Asian state following explosions at the facility caused by an earthquake and a tsunami.Hitzinger was taken over in full by car industry technology firm HTI High Tech Industries AG (HTI) last January. HTI had held an 80 per cent stake in Hitzinger since 2008.HTI has its headquarters in St. Marien bei Neuhofen, Upper Austria. The company achieved earnings before interest and taxes (Ebit) of 3.3 million Euros in the first three quarters of 2010.HTI is quoted on the Vienna Stock Exchange’s (WBAG) Mid Market. One share was worth 1.49 Euros at 2pm today, up from 1.39 Euros on 14 January.
