Energie Steiermark turnover climbs

Graz-based energy company Energie Steiermark AG managed to increase its turnover and earnings last year.The firm announced today (Weds) its turnover rose by 14 per cent to 1.25 billion Euros in 2010 compared to the previous year, while earnings before interest and taxes (Ebit) climbed from 49.7 million Euros in 2009 to 69.8 million Euros the following year.The company said it invested 217.6 million Euros into its facilities and infrastructure last year after having spent 179 million in 2009.Energie Steiermark had 1,797 employees in 2010, down from 1,811 in 2009.
