Number of T-Mobile Austria clients rises

T-Mobile Austria managed to attract almost 10 per cent more new customers last year.The Vienna-based company said today (Fri) it had 3.78 million clients in 2010, up by 9.6 per cent year on year. T-Mobile Austria however also announced that its turnover declined by five per cent to 983 million Euros.T-Mobile is the number one in the Austrian mobile and internet services sector behind Telekom Austria’s (TA) Mobilkom Austria branch. T-Mobile Austria spent 116 million Euros to improve its mobile phone and internet networks last year.The company, which has around 1,400 employees, is headed by Robert Chvatal since 2007.T-Mobile Austria said earlier this month that it will cooperate with marketing agency DDB Tribal as of March after a seven-year partnership with Publicis. DDB Tribal also works for German consumer products giant Henkel and Austrian beer firm Ottakringer.
