Man beheaded in chainsaw accident

A man was beheaded after he fell onto a chain saw whilst chopping wood in his garden in Gramastetten, Austria.

The 68-year old OAP from Linz was at his holiday home sawing wood when he lost his balance and fell onto the fast turning saw blade. The man had locked the blade into saw mode and not switched it off when he put it on the ground.

A neighbour found the man two hours later and called police.

Medics said the man would have died instantly.

There were no suspicious circumstances.
