Mutual murder / suicide in Lower Austria
A Lower Austrian pensioner killed his wife before turning the gun on himself, it has been reported.Both the 80-year-old man and his wife of the same age had been suffering from serious illnesses for a long time, according to local newspapers.The couples daughter discovered her dead parents at their house in St. Valentin yesterday evening (Mon). The woman also found a last will and a farewell note written by the pair in which they explained having decided to end their lives together.Police said the man had a licence to own the weapon he used to kill his wife and himself.Earlier this month, 21-year-old Vienna resident Marcus H. was sentenced to 12 years in jail for killing the 34-year-old boyfriend of his mother, 54, with an axe during an argument.
