Drunken seasonal workers arrested after break-in

Two seasonal labourers were arrested after being caught stealing from colleagues.The Germans aged 22 and 23 broke down the door of a flat in Neustift in Tyrol’s Stubai Valley at around 3am this morning (Weds), threatening the waiters and chefs who were staying in the apartment.The pair were arrested shortly after the incident as their victims had no difficulties identifying them. Breath checks revealed that they were seriously drunk. The men – who were in the Austrian Alps to work at an après ski bar – were put in remand after policemen confiscated thousands of Euros from them.Earlier this month, a German tourist ended up in hospital after a confusion over hotel rooms turned into a bloody brawl.The injured man, 48, was partying with two mates in a hotel suite in the winter sport resort of Ischgl, Tyrol, in the middle of the night.The friends’ boozy get-together was interfered by another German who, after having just arrived, wrongly assumed their room was his.The drunken trio attacked the holidaymaker who did not hesitate to defend himself. One of the drunken party-makers had to be hospitalised.
