Fressnapf offers pet insurance

Salzburg-based pet-food and pet-accessories dealer Fressnapf is offering dog and cat owners health and accident insurance for their pets.

The offers in cooperation with German animal health insurance firm Agila range from health insurance to third party liability insurance to cost of operation insurance, Fressnapf said today (Mon).

The firm added it expected to sell 1,000 insurance contracts during their first year on offer to owners of Austria’s 1.5 million cats and 580,000 dogs.

The cost of operation insurance for cats will be 9.90 Euros monthly and for dogs will be 12.90 Euros monthly. Third party liability insurance will cost 49 Euros annually.
