Rosenbauer targets 600mn turnover
Fire truck and fire-fighting equipment maker Rosenbauer International AG has said it expected to achieve a turnover higher than 600 million Euros this year.The Leonding-based company, which serves customers across the globe, announced today (Fri) its turnover increased by 12.5 per cent year on year to 421 million Euros in the first nine months of this year.It added earnings before interest and taxes (Ebit) jumped by 22.4 per cent to 33.3 million Euros. Analysts had initially expected a smaller increase.Rosenbauer, which is listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange (WBAG), said it was confident its annual turnover will surpass the 600-million-Euro benchmark for the first time in the companys 144-year history.The Upper Austrian firm announced last month it had been assigned by the internationally-operating UMW Group to produce 21 fire engines worth an overall 17.4 million Euros for Malaysia Airport Holding Berhad (MAHB).Rosenbauer produced more than 1,500 fire trucks for its national and international business partners in 2009.
