James Blunt 2011 gigs announced

James Blunt will return to Austria for two concerts next year.Britishrock.cc announced today (Mon) that the English singer-songwriter will perform in Vienna’s Stadthalle on 16 March before coming to Innsbruck for a concert at the Olympiahalle on 22 March.The former NATO soldier had a global hit with “You’re Beautiful” in 2005. The song, from his debut album “Back to Bedlam”, topped the charts in eight countries and reached number six in the Austrian Singles Chart. It was nominated three times at the 2007 Grammy Awards.Both his first studio album and the follow-up “All the Lost Souls” sold well in Europe and overseas. Blunt’s eagerly awaited third studio album, called “Some Kind of Trouble”, will be released this November, it was announced recently.Meanwhile, famed synthpop duo Hurts are set to perform at Vienna’s Arena on 15 March 2011. Pop rookies Marina And The Diamonds are to hit the stage at the Porgy & Bess club in Vienna on 4 December of this year, and US pop singer Katy Perry will come to the city next month (Arena, 6 October).
