Kapsch TrafficCom earnings jump

Austrian IT firm Kapsch TrafficCom AG has reported a rise in earnings.The road toll specialist said today (Fri) net earnings soared from 16.4 million Euros to 36.5 million Euros year on year in the 2009/2010 business year.The company – which is listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange (WBAG) – also said turnover improved by eight per cent to 216 million Euros.Earnings before interest and taxes however declined by 15 per cent to 24.5 million Euros in the past business year.Kapsch TrafficCom is headquartered in Vienna. The company specialises in creating tolling systems and IT data networks.Its Swedish subsidiary Kapsch TrafficCom Sweden announced recently it had won a seven-million Euros order to equip the Bang Na–Bangpakong expressway in Bangkok, Thailand, with a road toll system.
