Age of the Dinosaur Recreated in Vienna

Just in time for the New Year break a new exhibition chronicling the age of the dinosaurs has opened in the former St Marx slaughterhouse.

The travelling exhibition includes dinosaurs recreated in real size and it is now on show in the Austrian capital as part of a European tour.

And those who don’t get the chance this New Year to head along to Wien-Landstraße with the kids still will not have to hurry – the exhibition is on display until 9 February. In total there are more than 50 animals from the age of the dinosaur on display as well as fossils and other interesting archaeological discoveries.

There are also informative tours the visitors can enjoy as a travel from the 8 m high Tyrannosaurus rex through to the two ton Triceratops complete with babies. There is also an armour plated Stegosaurus or the longest dinosaur the Diplodocus. The exhibition has already been on display with considerable acclaim in the Ukraine, Germany, Hungary and Italy.
