Romanian MP under the knife again in Vienna

A former TV star from Romania is in intensive care after undergoing surgery at a clinic in Vienna.Ex-TV presenter Teo Trandafir – who is a member of the Democratic Liberal Party in the federal parliament in Bucharest – needed an operation for an acute pancreatic disease. She is under surveillance at the AKH Hospital’s intensive care ward after the surgery yesterday (Tues), according to the Romanian Times online newspaper.Trandafir, 42, underwent a major surgery after a pancreatic illness and an abdominal infection at the AKH only last month. She was transferred to the hospital – the biggest clinic in Austria – in January and has been receiving treatment there ever since. Yesterday’s operation was necessary to eliminate necrosis from her abdomen, doctors explained.
