Three drug dealers apprehended in Styria

Burgenland police have smashed a drug ring after the arrest of a Mr Big and then a few hours later rounding up his henchmen.

The three were said to have sold drugs for at least 30,000 Euros.

The 25-year-old suspect not named for legal reasons was found in Styria by Burgenland police investigators, and turned out to be the ring leader, connected to two more dealers who were also apprehended soon afterwards.

The men are suspected of having sold drugs at parties for a year. From February last year until March this year, amphetamine, methamphetamine and cannabis were brought to partygoers in the south of Burgenland and in the eastern parts of Styria.

The profits are said to exceed 30,000 Euro, according to the Burgenland Police Department.

A police investigator said: “We can assume that there is more. In a recent search of a suspect’s home, 17,000 Euro was found. That speaks for itself.”

The dealer whose house was searched admits that a large portion of the money was gained by selling illegal narcotics. The man also told the police of his involvement in an office break-in in 2005.
