Mowing blade kills farmer

A farmer has bled to death after a work accident, police said today (Fri).The 59-year-old woman, who lived on her own, got under her tractor’s mowing device when the vehicle rolled backwards after she parked it. Investigators in Brunnenthal, Upper Austria, assume that the incident occurred in the early morning yesterday.She was found lying in a pool of blood by a neighbour in the late afternoon of the same day. Doctors explained that the farmer haemorrhaged after suffering a deep cut to her leg.Earlier this month, a 28-year-old farmer was killed when he crashed down a 40-metre ravine driving his tractor in a forest near Ybbsitz in Lower Austria.
