Paraglider hospitalised in Feldkirch

An elderly paraglider was taken to a clinic after a crash landing.The 60-year-old man wanted to touch down on a football pitch in Schnifis in Vorarlberg’s Feldkirch district when his glider grazed nearby trees on Sunday afternoon. He plunged to the ground from around eight metres.The paraglider was transported to a clinic in Feldkirch via helicopter. He suffered severe injuries to his back in the incident, local authorities said today (Tues).Only last Friday, a 43-year-old man from Feldbach in Styria managed to get away uninjured when his glider got tangled up with a viewing tower in Kungota, Slovenia. He was freed by local fire-fighters and policemen.
