Cyclist dies in junction accident

An elderly cyclist died after being run down by a truck before paramedics reached the scene.Radio news reports have it that the accident occurred at a crossroads in the city of Linz this morning (Fri). The 26-year-old lorry driver failed to notice the 78-year-old man for unclear reasons as investigations into the incident are continuing.Only last Monday, a 77-year-old cyclist was run over by a truck after falling off his bike in Mitterdorf, Styria. The pensioner died instantly.
