Pensioner’s legs stuck in motor hoe

Surgeons at a Viennese clinic are fighting to save a man’s legs after a dramatic gardening accident.Both of the 75-year-old pensioner’s legs got jammed in the motor hoe as he was working in his garden in Laa an der Thaya, Lower Austria, yesterday morning (Mon).The man’s wife called an ambulance, before a local doctor decided that the elderly man must be airlifted to Vienna’s Lorenz Böhler Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.The hobby gardener underwent emergency surgery yesterday afternoon. Doctors had no comment on his condition today.Only last week, a 60-year-old man accidentally slit his own leg with a chainsaw in Mattersburg, Burgenland.
