WWII bomb discovery causes temporary rail traffic shutdown

Traffic on a busy railway connection in Tyrol had to be stopped for three hours due to the discovery of a wartime bomb.The World War Two (WWII) bomb weighing around 250 kilograms was found by workers renovating a railway bridge near the town of Roppen yesterday (Mon).No one was injured when explosives experts sent by the interior ministry defused and removed the aerial bomb. Federal Railways (ÖBB) set up a special bus service for the affected train passengers.The discovery comes after two similar bombs were found by workers assigned to build Vienna’s new main train station last week.
