Hungarian run down after being kicked out by driver

Police are investigating after a Hungarian woman was killed under mysterious circumstances on a main road near Vienna last night (Weds/Thurs).Officials announced today the 38-year-old rang the police at around 10pm after having being “thrown out” of a car by a man on the S2 northern motorway near the Lower Austrian town of Süßenbrunn.A traffic police unit sent out to pick up the woman found her body apparently run over by several cars.Police, who are searching for the woman’s possible companion, have ordered an autopsy.Federal statistics agency Statistik Austria recently said 247 people were killed on Austrian roads in the first six months of 2010, 14 per cent fewer than the 287 who lost their lives in traffic accidents in the same period last year.
